Free Transparency Halftone Patterns for Photoshop

With transparency seriously trending in web design right now, I thought I would put together a set of patterns for different strengths of transparency to place over images. They are all on transparent backgrounds, so you can either use the Fill Tool to place the pattern directly on the image layer, or create a new layer and fill it will the pattern – that way you can adjust the opacity and even overlay with a color if you don’t want black.

Here are what some of them look like over an image – however, please remember that these images have been reduced in size. The top center segment shows the original image with no transparency.

I love using and learning Photoshop, and I also enjoy creating resources to share with the world. I am at my happiest when I have free time to further explore all that Photoshop has to offer and learn more about its powerful built-in tools. I hope people enjoy either using or learning from my free resources, and welcome any hints and tips - and of course, if you would like to offer a free resource on this site, please don't hesitate to contact me (top right of the page).
