Pixel art is a form of digital art, created through the use of raster graphics software, such as Photoshop and Gimp, where images are edited on the pixel level. Graphics in most old computer and video games, graphing calculator games, and many mobile phone games are mostly pixel art.
Many of these images are created very small, so rather than enlarge them and distort them horribly, I have shown them at their full, small size here.

The amount of detail crammed into some of these tiny images is amazing, and the bigger ones must have taken ages to create pixel by pixel.
