This week In Focus is showcasing the amazing, inspirational work of phatpuppy, aka Claudia McKinney.

Claudia is a photo manipulator, digital artist and photographer. In this feature we are focusing mainly on her photo manipulations, but are also including some digital art.

She is the mother of four children and her daughter Catriona is a musician – singer/songwriter.

Phatpuppy creates amazing art and lots of it! This has been a difficult showcase to compile because I had to pick a small selection from nearly 950 deviations – so I have attempted to bring you a cross-section of her work, but of course you can visit deviantart.com to see more. To the question ‘When and how did you become interested in digital art?’ Claudia replies: ‘After the birth of my fourth and last child six years ago - I wanted to do something creative - something more. I often say that digital art in itself is a kind of birth - because one is always creating something new - bringing life forth thru art.’
